{personal} Christmas

To me the Holidays bring to mind two words...Family and Carbs! At my parents house it is tradition for us to have an Italian dish that my family has been making FOREVER! Hand made pasta that takes my mama an entire day to make. It is beyond delicious. As you can see in the photo presents get a little out of hand, they were everywhere. I couldn't even fit them all in the photo. Of course 90% of them were for my daughter, no joke. We have already discussed that everyone went a little overboard this year and next year we are just going to stick to a couple. She was a little overwhelmed. Anyways...I hope everyone had an safe and amazing holiday! Whew...we got through another year! Happy New Year!

Candy Shop

Ok, so not really a Candy Shop...but for that day it was one in my head! : ) Also for those who are wondering "Is that Lindy in those photos?". No! My parents happen to be in the cloning business. : ) This is my Big Sister!

This first photo of my sister is my Fav! It is soooo my sister! I just love it! She has the best smile and laugh of anyone I know! It is one of those contagious laughs, ya know? Amazing!

Yummy Lollipop!

HaHaHa...she was seriously the worst bubble gum blower I have ever seen! Thought her eyes said it all in these two photos. She was blowing as hard as she could!

I dont know what it is about this next photo that I love so much...this was in the middle of chewing the huge wad of gum I shoved in her mouth...we were laughing so hard at her attempts to make these bubbles happen. More then once me and my lens were showered in spit! Gross!

Last time I got to shoot these two together was the fourth of July, they have both changed so much since then. I can't believe it! They spend almost every weekend together playing....and it is beyond hilarious watching them. They both just light up when they see each others face, it is sooo cute! I have no doubt in my mind that they will always take care of each other!

Everyone knows how much I love colorful things.........doesn't get much better.

Such a little Cheeser! First kid I have ever met that loves getting his photo taken. He pulled his hat over one eye and then stood there waiting for me to take this photo.

This is a one year olds attempt to give kisses.

Trouble One and Trouble Two

One of my Favorite shots from this day.

I have said it time and time again...these eyes are amazing. Everytime I take photos of him the face shots always win over the body shots.

As much as I LOVE the colorful fun shots, I am just as in love with "moody" photography. Isn't the sky amazing. Love it! I am also in love with trees. They are so beautiful, even when they are bare. My husband always says I am obsessed with "Tim Burton" trees. (his name for when the trees are just bare skeletons) : )

Wow, Novembers weather has been awesome so far! You can't get any better then this! Birdie and I decided to spend our day playing/lounging at the park. Such a great day.

I can never get enough of her eyes...they make me melt.

Here is the story behind these next two shots. I had my camera/face through this hole planning on getting an image of her coming down the slide. She saw what I was doing and without missing a beat ran over and did the same thing back to me. HaHaHa! (See image below)

Leaf Fight!

Last time I shot these kids it was for the little dudes 1st Birthday. This time it was for little Miss J's 4th Birthday! Their mom and I thought how cute it would be to get the two rolling around in the leaves for photos....we were wrong. HaHaHa. The whole session turned into a big leaf fight! Here are some of my favorite shots of these two Rugrats! ; )

This was the very last image my camera snapped before the end of the shoot! HA! I about fell over laughing when I pulled this up! He was so done with photos! Being a model is hard work, right Ethan boy?

Of course all the pretty leaves had already fallen : (. Still thought the texture in this photo was amazing. When taking this shot I yelled at my BIL "Look at your wife lovingly!!!", his reply was "how do I do that?" hahahaha! Good Job Red! You pulled it off!

Love Love Love both of these images. If I had to describe my brother/sister in law, I would just show these two photos.

Even though this was a family session I of course had to take some individual photos. Oh my goodness....these girls give me butterflies in my stomach when I look at these. That being said I had to kick this post off with my favs....

They are sooo stinken cute! These were my instructions for this shot "have a staring contest". Big sister delicately grabbed lil sis' face and they looked into each others eyes and giggled! I almost died!

Mama and Her Girls!

For these next images I had this whole story going on in my head. I wont bore you with it but it was along the lines of little miss getting adventurous with that old truck. Suitcase packed and ready to go!

My last image is one of my favorites..I have to say thanks to the girls for climbing through sticker weeds and sitting in this dirty old trough looking thing. When I look at this image it makes me think of my sister and I when we were little.

Fall is here! (although it feels like winter) I love this time of year! There is something magical about it to me, halloween has always been my favorite holiday! Makes me feel little again. For this outing we headed to the pumpkin farm. My baby LOVED it! There was so much to do you almost need to split it into two days. I am hoping for another decent day so we can go back this year. It was amazingly beautiful there...the colors were unreal! Every shade in the rainbow....this was my kinda outing! I very much envy the people who own this farm! Stunning!

I feel like I haven't been photographing my daughter lately just "being a kid". I was looking at her photo albums this week and everything looks so.....clean. I am on a mission to start capturing her lifestyle! So I am starting a new ~Just For Fun!~ series of photos. It will be of all the adventures my family goes on!

This week we snagged Grandma and headed to living history farms...my daughter loved it! Smelly animals, people in character (too in character), lots of room to run around and her favorite thing of all...The Tractor Cart Ride! (isnt that how it goes...the thing that takes you from A to B is their favorite attraction) All and all it was a very good day. I am very thankful to be living in this day and age...it is truly crazy to think about how people use to live. If you haven't been to LHF in awhile, go check it out!

Cousins

All I have to say about this photo collage is...TROUBLE! This is my daughter and her two cousins...all with in 5 months of each other. When all three of them get together it is hilarious! All of them with their own little personality...my daughter seems to think she rules all, always looking for something she shouldn't be doing. My nephew is very passive always go with the flow...so he is easily manipulated by my daughters evil plots. (not good) Then there is my niece who has absolutely hysterical spunk! She will growl on command for you! Grrrrr!!!! It will be very entertaining watching these three grow together!

When on my last shoot we continued taking photos until sundown. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. We stayed a little longer so I could get this shot. The sky was gorgeous...all different shades of pink and orange, with a flawless mirrored reflection on the lake. I couldn't resist!

This is my favorite niece...Little Miss Caitlin! Let me tell ya...this lil chickadee was a major trooper at this shoot. She made it through 4 outfit changes...my kinda girl! I know I had an adventurous/fun shoot when I am physically sore the next day, hahaha! Lots of rolling around on the ground trying to keep up! I think I actually got a couple of bruises and everything! = ) They were well worth it! Happy Birthday Babydoll!

Wahooo! One Years Old!!! I can't believe it! My little Stud Muffin Nephew is growing up so fast! We had to get creative during this shoot...he started off happy as a lark but got a little sassy towards the end. I literally had to dangle gold fish out of my mouth to keep him interested! You can never go wrong with goldfish with kids...they go insane over them! So from now on I think I am going to keep a stash in my photography bag! Thanks for that hot tip baby boy! Love you so much! Its been a dang good summer! I thought I would post some photos of my daughters favorite activities. Almost every day she does these two things. Rides around the neighborhood in her snazzy yellow car and plays shopping cart. Up and down the side walk she goes stopping every now and then to make sure all of her goodies are still in the cart. Flowers, rocks, pine cones and the occasional dead bug (usually locus we have a million in our neighborhood). I am going to miss doing these things with her as the cold weather approaches! Boooo!

Hope everyone had a good 4th of July! I heard to weather was not so great here. We spent ours up in Wisconsin. I didn't have a ton of time to take photos but I did manage to snap a few. Here is my baby and my nephew enjoying waving the flag. It's hilarious how much enjoyment kids get out of a dollar flag I picked up at the grocery store. My daughter waved this thing back and forth the entire weekend. So simple! I love it!

Oh baby did these two little cuties have some energy! I wish I could have bottled some up and took it home with me. Little Mr had no interest in letting me take photos. He was way to busy showing off his crawling skills. Man I have never seen a baby move that fast on all fours! Big sister gave me some great shots...such heartfelt eyes. I loved how much her personality came through in these photos!

Melt Down!

So...My Baby Girl got the sweetest little green dress from her grandma. I wanted to get a quick shot of her in it because she looked so stinken precious! Well she wasn't having it....the only way she would let me take the photo was if she was sitting on her mermaid car. Every time I tryed to pry her off of it she had a melt down! So needless to say...here she is...Aerial and all. What I love about this is you cant even see the dress, which was the whole point of the photo.

Ethan Boy!

This is my favorite nephew, Ethan. = ) I have never met such a easy going, sweet, mellow baby in my life! Love, Love, Love him! Have you ever seen such gorgeous blue eyes by the way!? OMG! They are breath taking!! 9 months old and I can already tell he is going to be a lady killer! I had so much fun doing this shoot, I took soooo many photos it was ridiculous. I just couldn't stop!

What a Doll-Baby! I could just eat her up! She's now 14 months old! Isn't it funny how mothers cant just say that their baby is "1"? I wonder when I will stop doing that! Yet it is totally necessary, she changes so much in just a months time. I stare at her all the time and think "whoa, when did you get this big!".

Holy cousins! On my Husbands side of the family there is no shortage on kids and babies! This is just a few...I am still missing a handful! These were taken on our trip to Indiana last month. 9 hour car drive with my 13th month old daughter in the back seat (shes the one in the lady bug floaty) listening to Elmo's World over and over and over again. Gah! My husband and I had the whole thing memorized by the end of the trip. We definitely created some good memories on this trip and I also got some fun shots.
